As a registered child minder I aim to work in close partnership with all parents to meet the needs of their children and I operate in an open and transparent way, with clear standards of practice.

If you are unhappy or concerned about any aspect of my service, please bring this to my attention. Every effort will be made to resolve your concerns through a private, frank and open discussion.

If you were ever to feel the need to make a formal, written complaint, I notify OFSTED within 14 days of receipt of the complaint. It is a condition of my registration that all written complaints relating to the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage are investigated and the complainant notified of the outcome within 28days of receipt of the complaint.

A written record of all complaints is held for 3 years in my complaints folder. Confidentiality is maintained. OFSTED may request a written record of all complaints within a specified period, together with the action taken as a result of each complaint.

The following information will be recorded:

  • The name of the person making the complaint
  • The EYFS requirement(s) to which the complaint relates
  • The nature of the complaint
  • The date and time of the complaint
  • Any action taken in response to the complaint
  • The outcome of the complaint investigation (eg ways in which the service has improved)
  • Details of the information and findings that were given to the complainant, including action taken
