Annie is a fantastic nanny. She is wonderful with children and has patience and enthusiasm in equal measure. Annie works with parents to ensure that she is taking children in the right direction – ie she will work to curb negative behaviours and encourage positive ones.

I have known Annie the Nannie since 2001 when she joined my agency, Night Nannies. For many years she worked for a wide variety of clients, always with a sense of humour (and a sense of perspective!). She already had a successful and wide-ranging career and brought her considerable experience to bear on situations as diverse as night nannying, maternity nursing and sleep training. She was completely reliable, extremely flexible and I always had the joy of receiving glowing references from every single one of the clients for whom she worked.
Gradually Annie moved on from night nannying and set up her own business in childcare, proving her adaptability and enthusiasm to provide the very best for the children who were entrusted to her. She cared for the children of many of my friends when they were little and follows their progress now they are in their teens.
Another generation of Hampshire children is benefiting from Annie’s unique approach to childcare, and as technology develops, Annie is taking advantage of this to offer her support to a wider national and international community. I have no doubt she will succeed in this endeavour and many more families will be happier for having met her and been able to benefit from her services.

Her knowledge on child development is extraordinary and her energy and imaginative approaches to encouraging children in their learning and development was very recently recognised as Outstanding by Ofsted.
But what makes Annie different is the way she embraces the outdoors as a learning environment, as well as what some might say were “old fashioned” manners. There is a gentleness to Annie you will only appreciate if you meet her in person. I would encourage you all to do so.
She is likely to be wearing her wellies and an apron, be covered with paint as will the children and to be singing a nursery rhyme as she opens the door.
I used to quality assure her practise as part of the Test Valley Network and on behalf of Hampshire County Council Services for Young Children. These days we are friends.

All about Annie.
Annie is a loving person who will look after your children amazingly. Annie makes up songs to help your children learn and she cooks the most amazing food. Annie is very artistic and clever (once she made a castle for my brother, sister and I and she only used cardboard boxes!). Annie is the best nanny I have ever met.
Her personal qualities that impress most when dealing with the children are her extensive patience, her respect for the child as an individual young person, her ability to stimulate play and study as well as maintain discipline, and the obvious warmth and enjoyment of the shared relationship which she communicates to the child.
Annie has been helping me with my children for 9 years and I can honestly say that my three children (now 14, 11 and 8) have benefited from every single moment they have spent with her.
Annie is quite exceptional in her ability to encourage, develop, nurture and teach children within clear, firm and respectful boundaries. Her wonderful common sense means everyone knows what to expect and therefore is very happy. As a mother I wish I had just some of her skills!
Annie’s love of the countryside and animals is a very important part of her life and her ability to share it with children of all ages is remarkable. Every walk she takes the children on is an adventure and so much more than just taking the children to a park.
Put simply, Annie is probably the best Child Carer/Nanny in Hampshire. She goes the extra mile for every child in her care and is so much more than any other child carer.
