Terms & Conditions

I am registered as a Childminder by OFSTED (EY346549) and as such can work with children in my own home and take them on outings.

I am regulated by OFSTED and adhere to the Early Years Foundation Stage as outlined in the Statutory Framework.

I am a member of PACEY (Professional Association of Childcare and Early Years). Membership number: 00084338.

I am insured through PACEY and by Royal and Sun Alliance Insurance plc (Policy no: RTT 161353).

My car insurance covers me for journeys taken with your children.

My policies are listed on my website and must be read and acknowledged by all parents before I care for your children.

When a booking is made you enter into a contract with me to care for your child and agree to my terms and conditions. Before I care for your child it is essential that I have the following documentation, signed by you:

Child record form

Permissions form

I work with mixed ages and am regulated by OFSTED regarding age and numbers of children in attendance at any one time.

Because I work to the greatest flexibility of service provision, with small numbers, within tight, age dependent ratios, booking in advance is essential.

Booking can only be made by direct conversation with me.

A booking is only secured and guaranteed once payment has been received, together with the required documentation.

If no payment has been received, the space is open for booking and available to another child.

Payment can be made on-line, by cheque or with childcare vouchers.

ALL PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE unless service is cancelled by me (due to illness) or the arrangement with a particular family is terminated by me.

In order to offer greatest flexibility to all parents, I offer a variety of childcare options:

Term time only pre-school/nursery (fees payable half termly)

Term time only after-school care (fees payable half termly)

Holiday provision as outlined on my website (payment secures booking)

Occasional morning or afternoon craft workshops (payment secures booking)

Arrival and collection times are listed clearly on my website but variations to these are possible when arranged and booked in advance, for an additional fee to be discussed at the time of booking.

Adherence to arranged arrival and collection times is crucial to the smooth running of the day and the enjoyment of the day by all children. Non-adherence is subject to a penalty fee (see separate policy).

A contract/arrangement of care can be terminated by me for (but not exclusively) the following reasons:

If your child’s behaviour is potentially a danger to his/herself or to any other children in my care.

If your behaviour or your child’s behaviour is unsettling or disruptive to or causes anxiety in any way within the group.

If your request for provision for your child is contrary to the provision of care I supply to the rest of the group, or not practical for me to provide or contrary to my implementation of the EYFS, or contrary to my ethos.

If your child refuses to acknowledge my authority while in my care.

If your child wilfully damages property belonging to him/herself, to another child, to me or any other person or body (you, the parent, will be liable for any monitory reparation occurring from such damage).

If you bring a child knowing that they are ill.

Suitable clothing should be supplied by you each day, including a change of clothes, a warm jersey (even in summer!), sunscreen, a hat, waterproofs, paddling shoes (summer) or wellington boots (winter). A child without suitable clothing may not be able to attend.

Parents must be mindful of the content of my policies.

Adherence to the EYFS is a condition of my registration. Full details can be found using the following link: http://www.foundationyears.org.uk/files/2014/07/EYFS_framework_from_1_September_2014__with_clarification_note.pdf
