For those parents who value a home-based childhood without having to conform to a class structure.  Time for a child to just be – to develop without being moulded as a group.  Time to enjoy the nurturing warmth of an intimate adult:child relationship.

My aim is to provide opportunities to explore and experiences from which they learn but which will also provide life-long positive memories.  Spontaneous adventure and creative fun inspire enthusiasm and a keenness to explore and experiment.  The children will have all the confidence and skills they need to thrive when they go to school.

I also have experience in home schooling older children and am skilled at juggling the needs of each child within a mixed age group, ensuring that all children are engaged and thriving.

Annie the Nannie provides hands-on learning by engaging children with the world around them.  She encourages children to look closer, talk about their observations and ask questions.  Similarly, she guides children through adventures, rather than directing every activity.  Her guiding style allows children independence to express themselves:  what they need, what they want, and their feelings.  In turn, she guides children to talk through their problems and better communicate and collaborate with each other.
